Members Relations Manager (Event Host)

We are looking for Managers to attend our events and provide a warm and inviting atmosphere for attendees.

Job Responsibilities:
- Greet, register, and direct members upon arrival
- Drive the event and serve as main point of contact for attendees during the event  
- Co- lead and serve as a brand ambassador for Conectando Latinos and communicate the benefits of the company as well as upcoming events
– Brainstorm ice-breaker ideas and execute them 
- Keep the event on schedule and make sure members are having a good time
- Ensure day of event logistics are executed smoothly, coordinating with on-site vendors
-Create and distribute post event-surveys

Qualifications:
- Outgoing personality, a “people person” with a customer service attitude 
- Passion and interest in Conectando Latino’s mission and the Latin culture
- Organized and detail oriented to ensure event runs smoothly 
- Ability to speak with confidence about the event and upcoming events 
- Fluency in Spanish
- Sales background is preferred
- Event management or planning experience preferred
- Flexibility with schedules, as events take place on weekends all over the Bay Area

Compensation:
- $15/hour with potential for bonus based on member survey feedback, plus ability to take on  event planning responsibilities if interested.

Job Responsibilities:
- Pitch ideas for events that align with brand, appeal to target consumer, and have a positive ROI
- Scout, develop, and maintain relationships with vendors
- Negotiate rates with vendors to drive profitability of events
- Assist day of event and act as customer service representative to Conectando Latinos members

Qualifications:
- Experience in an event planning capacity with proven experience managing large-scale events 
- Passion for the Latin culture
- Exceptional project management skills
- Organized and detail oriented
- Fluency in Spanish preferred

Compensation:
- Flat fee based on complexity of event

Digital/Social Media Intern

The Digital/Social Media Intern will be responsible for assisting in managing our online digital presence, with a focus on social channels including:

  • Facebook
  • Twitter
  • Google+
  • Pinterest

The position will act as an online community manager, developing and executing ideas to drive loyalty and evangelism amongst members.

Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the editorial calendar for all web communities, creating and sharing specific content relevant to social media channel audience
- Monitor and engage with community on behalf of Conectando Latinos
- Track insights and trends to help shape upcoming events through Facebook and Google Analytics
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and tools
- Create weekly blog to deliver relevant content with members
- Develop promotional ideas to increase size of community fan base, such as sweepstakes and contents
- Foster digital partnerships with preferred vendors
- Own keeping community pages refreshed with content post-event

Qualifications:
- Passion for social media, digital, and emerging technologies
- Strong  copywriting, editing, and project management skills
- Fluency in social media channels and an avid personal user sites listed above
- Ability to work independently
- Experience with SEO/PPC Campaigns a plus
- Flexible with taking on additional projects as needed
- Fluency in Spanish a plus

Compensation:
- Time commitment is minimum 10 hours/week. Compensation will be provided after each event.
